Limited Lifetime Warranty
Hitchcock Butterfield Mirror Company, (hereafter HB), warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal customary usage for life. This warranty is limited to the recipient listed on the original sales receipt. The original, or a clear copy of, the original sales receipt or other acceptable proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
Terms and Conditions
Covered Products
This Limited Warranty does not apply to (i) products that were, at any time, used as a floor sample or display model, (ii) any products purchased “as is” or second-hand, (iii) any products purchased at a distress sale or a going out of business sale, or (iv) any products purchased from a liquidator. All warranties, whether express or implied, cover only normal usage. No warranty, express or implied, applies to any condition resulting from misuse, abuse, delivery or transportation damage, nor any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate unpackaging, installation, maintenance, cleaning or care.
Chemical Treatments
This Limited Warranty does not cover damages or defects caused by use of chemical cleansers or treatments or the application of protective or any other type of coatings on the finish or any other part of the product by the original purchaser. Any such use of chemical cleansers or treatments or the application of protective or any other type of coatings voids all warranties of HB hereunder.
Modifications to Products
This Limited Warranty does not apply to products that have been altered by anyone without the express written authorization of HB.
Claim Procedure
If a problem should arise which you feel is covered by our Limited Warranty, contact HB or authorized retailer from whom you purchased our product. The original, or a clear copy of, the original sales receipt or other acceptable proof of purchase is required for the fulfillment of this Limited Warranty. Please make sure any warranty claim is accompanied by the necessary information to satisfy the warranty requirements. HB reserves the right to require defective products or product parts be returned upon request as a condition of fulfillment of this Limited Warranty.
Remedy
Under this Limited Lifetime Warranty, the sole liability of HB is limited to repair, or at its option, replacement.
If within the warranty period, identical products or product parts are unavailable at the time of repair or replacement, HB reserves the right to substitute products and product parts of equal or superior quality.
Any product or product parts repaired or replaced under this Limited Lifetime Warranty will also be covered by this Limited Lifetime Warranty.
DISCLAIMER
NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY HAS BEEN MADE OR WILL BE MADE ON BEHALF OF HB WITH RESPECT TO ITS PRODUCTS, OR THE REPAIR, OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCTS AND ITS PARTS. FURTHERMORE, NO REPRESENTATIVE OF HB OR ITS DISTRIBUTORS OR RETAILERS IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO THIS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY.
SOME RETAILERS OFFER EXTENDED OR ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES, EITHER FROM THE RETAILER OR THROUGH A THIRD-PARTY. HB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER ANY SUCH EXTENDED OR ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES OFFERED BY ANY RETAILER OR THROUGH A THIRD-PARTY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL HB BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, SUCH AS LOSS OF USE, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL PROPERTY, WHETHER INDIRECT OR DIRECT, AND WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT OR TORT. IN NO EVENT SHALL HB’S RESPONSIBILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT OR ITS REPLACEMENT.
SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
